Opinions & Questions. oh my!

Alright guys, i have a 4th gen still sportin those nice sawblades. Well my tires are almost bald so I thought to myself, i should buy new rims with those new tires. And now im scourging the internet searching for a nice wheel/tire combo.

Well, ran across... WheelMax and found a set that i like. The 17' exel ennios (17x7) that come with 205/40/17. Now i was browsing http://maxmods.dyndns.org/ And i read about wheels and tires, and it said it was a general rule to go with 215mm when you get 17x7s.

And now the questions.

1. In a nutshell, how is that wheel/tire combo, especially the tire size?

and

2. If anyone knows, what tires do they come with? I've looked throughout the site, and to no avail, can anyone shed some light on this situation?

And to avoid any flaming, i have looked through the past 4 pages, and the search button has been disabled. Also, sorry if these are newb questions

The best size for the Maxima is 17x8 (17x7.5 will do) with 235/45-17 tires.

Well, seeing that I wrote the information on maxmods.... I'd agree with the tire size, but I'd definately think you'd be better off getting wider rims.

The 205/40/17s that come with the tires are too short, that's integra/civic size tire diameter. Maximas have a larger overall diameter tire stock.

I actually just updated the tire page on maxmods with a tire diameter calculator so you can compare the stock and aftermarket tire diameters and make sure they are close. But you're probably best off with 215/50/17 on that rim. 225/45/17 will also fit pretty well but won't look flush with the rim.

Wheelmax usually packages Nankang's or Kumho KH11 (?) with the wheels. Take note that they will tell you which package you can get based on your car model/yr.

Last time i talked to them, 5th gens always seemed to fall in the 3rd tire/wheel package just based on size alone.
