EBAY GUIDELINES:
1.) Do not expect to get your information (valid or otherwise) from the page itself. Do your research pre-visiting the page!
2.) Check the seller's feedback, amount of sales, buyer/seller comments etc. Don't deal with anyone below 98% (that's just my personal philosophy, take it or leave it).
3.) Legitimize the seller as best you can. Any second guessing about his or her credentials is sign enough to back out. (Wheels aren't cheap).
4.) Be finicky. Ask for detailed pictures. If they don't want to provide them, you don't want to buy.
5.) Establish firm communication with the seller from the bat. It's key...and reassuring.
I could come up with more, but I am very tired. I've sold 2 sets of wheels and bought one set of wheels all through E-bay. I was considering buying my A34 Nismo Rays until the dealership beat the price. So far, my dealings have be just fine. Then again, the past can never predict the future.
Cliffs: Do your homework.

Try local CL first if possible. If you are considering purchasing rims off of Ebay, make sure the seller e-mails you blow-up pics of the wheels/tires. Look for local sale, and pay by paypal with CC for easier payment reversal.
