yokohoma AVS ES100 vs Sumitomo HTR+

hi guys

well, i need 4 tires... and those are my two choices. i'm leaning towards the HTR+ but the tire guy recommended the ES100 because they last longer and are better.

I am a commuter... and now that I have to pay for everything, I don't want to get expensive tires. The HTR+ is $89 and the ES100 is $111 on tirerack.

The American Tire Co. here said they'll price match + add the cost of what shipping would be from tirerack. How much is that?? Also, they'll charge installation and the tire comes w/ free rotate/balance/tirepatch.

Please give me feedback on which tire you think is worth it... and what the cost of shipping would be from tirerack so I can get a good idea of how much he's gonna add per tire. Alright, thanks guys!

cool, thanks for your feedback.

well... i decided that i'm going to get a pair tomorrow, and another pair next month. I'll keep the new ones in the back till next month. I can't afford all 4 tires at once

the htr will last longer and better for ride quality since they have a softer sidewall. the yokos will outperform them in dry condition though and wont last as long. I think shipping is like $15 for a pair?

I got mine shipped from another place just because they had them in stock ( I think it was South Bend, Indiana) $111 for the tires each ... $444 and I think the final bill was about $490
