Question for 02'-03' GLE Owners Still on EL42's

For those of you fellow 02' & 03' GLE owners still on the OEM 215/55-15 EL42's, question on preferred air pressure. It will be 2 to 6 weeks before I get my Michelin Pilot Sport A/S's on due to my travel schedule and I need to put about 800-1000 miles on the Turanza's in the next 2 weeks. Since installing the Stillen RSB and OTTO FSTB 2 weeks ago I have been experimenting with tire pressures ranging from 39 psi down to the OEM spec. of 32 psi (max is 44 psi) to feel the impact on handling & ride quality with this setup. As of today I am back at 32 psi as it seems to provide the best ride. What specific pressures are you fellas runnin' if different and why? Thanks in advance.

Always go with the OEM spec. The 'max psi' is determined by the tire manufacturer for the tire itself. Another vehicle with the same tire may have a higher OEM spec. As you already determined, the 32 psi works best. Keep it there.

Yes sir I did, enough to get me thru for a month or two but I'm not proud if it. I have to go thru a complete clean/polish/wax/post-cure & re-wax cycle before I have any shot at a decent appearance and serious protection. If you looked up-close, especially at the front-end (plastic) you'd kick the **** outta me but hey..."you do what ya' can when ya' can right!" (I work 65-80 hours a week and am on-the-road constantly. Puttin' in 3-5 hours on a car is hard time to come-by.)

Hey, one more post and you won't be a noob anymore!!
Hmmmm...didn't know that, I don't pay attention to that stuff. I'm a long-term member of a body-building forum and I particpate in a few shotgun & semi-auto boards so I'm in-tune to the "newb versus vet deal" but post-count...well...if it doesn't translate to positive impact on my portfolio or wallet...I ignore it! heh heh
