I was curious if I could increase the aspect ratio from 45 to 50 on my eight inch wheels? What would be the side effects? Thanks for any info.

 

Need more info on the wheels. How big is it?

Yeah they are 17 x 8 wheels

 

I know you can fit even wider tires than 235 on 4th Gens, so depending on how "middle of the road" the offset on your wheels are, it *might* fit. I'm no 4th Gen expert though, so I don't know if there are any height limitations with the suspension at full compression or anything else sitting very close to the tire or not.... Usually people go wider, but not much taller (if any), so this is uncharted territory.

 

the mercury maurauder has either 17x8 or 18x8 but rides on 235/50 tires. so i think it will fit.
