Good all season tires

hey,

I know this is the wrong place to post this but there are alot more people here to get info from. I am looking for a a good all season tire to finally replace my poortenzas. I live in London, Ontario, Canada and need something that will work in snow and in the summer. Any help would be great.

thanks

Pilot Sport A/S....or an economical, but comparative selection, the Continental ContiExtremeContact. Check out http://www.tirerack.com for their reviews of the ContiExtreme...I have them and I live in Chicago and I love'em.

Just wondering....what size Continentals are you running? They don't have an OEM size replacement and not sure what to go with, if I go with these tires.

I recently purchased the Michelon Pilot Sport A/S and while they are great on wet pavement, I'm not too crazy about them in snow. In Chicago, we got our first snowfall of the year and I found it difficult to get any traction with them. so far in snow, I don't find them any better than the Crapenzas. On dry pavement, I really haven't noticed any great difference. Other than driving in the rain, I don't think they are worth the money.

I just bought a set of these last week, and I love them. It's hard to spin my tires, even turning from a stop when it is sleeting out (I tried it the other night). Awesome. I got the closest to stock, which is 215/60/16 and they look a tiny bit "rugged" due to the big sidewalls and new tread. Though it's barely a difference from stock tires, so it won't make much of a difference. I read somewhere on here that it's good to keep them inflated near the max rating (keep them around 38-40psi) because there is a lot of sidewall flex. The sidewall flex makes for a softer ride, which I can definitely feel.

I recommend these, especially because they are $360 USD shipped from Tirerack and they arrived in a day! Tirerack is definitely the place to go, too. EXCELLENT customer service.

Ironically enough, a few hours after I posted it snowed hardcore (in Hartford, CT). The streets were literally ice and it was insane. Most people ended up sideways in the roads. I spun my tires a couple of times, but when I took it easy on the gas it was amazing. These tires are really grippy (granted, they are also brand new). I was able to go uphill when most others could not.

I highly recommend these.

I had great luck with BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KDWS's through two Maine winters. Great dry, wet, and snow traction! Not sure what tire size your looking for but you can get them in 235/45-17.
