suggestions for 225/50/16

My new rims finally came in and i'm now looking into which tire to run on them.
they're 16x7 rota slipstreams, and i'm looking to run 225/50's on them.
i want good handling, i dont mind a rough ride at all so stiff sidewalls are probably a good thing in this situation. i also need these tires to be fairly cheap.
my choices as of now are:
Dunlop FM901
Kumho Ecsta MX.
any other ideas? i'm leaning towards the FM901s based strictly on price
(84 vs 104) but nothing is set in stone yet.
also, they do not need to be all season but they do need to have wet weather traction. i do see snow around here but thats what i have my beater wheels for.

I don't know about those FM901s. Aren't there too many mixed reviews on those? I think other forum reviews on those might match the Tire Rack survey, which has people liking them and others hating them...

If cost isn't a problem I'd be tempted to go with the MX because it's designed to compete in a higher performance bracket than the FM901. It has lower treadwear and less of it (8/32 instead of 10 I think?) so it probably won't last as long though. Still, I bet it'd handle better as a guess...
