17s vs. 18's

ok so i finally have enough money to get rims and a drop on my car. YAY NO MORE HUBs! so ive been looking into it and want to know everyones opinion on rim size, ive heard that 1lb of wheel weight = like 6 lbs of car weight so wouldnt it be better to run a 17 in racing rims instead of 18's. im looking to keep my ride also and not have to suffer over potholes. any suggestions? btw i really like the mille miglia evo 5 sports!

18s if you want more looks over performance. But even if you get the MM evo5 they are still heavy even on 17s.
If you want some light weight rims you can looks t the SSR competitions or Volk Racing wheels.
Also you will want to go with a bigger tire if you go with 17s so your ride will be a little better than 18s. Not very noticeable.
Its really up to you but if you want the light wheels and a bigger size be prepared to spend lots of money
