Question about possibly ot of round/defective tires.
I bought my RE950s last fall and have had a vibration in the steering wheel above 70MPH. I have already paid to have them rebalanced once and it did not help. I have had my snow tires on for the last few months and there is no vibration at 70 and beyond .
In an attempt to find out what tire was causing the problem I left three snow tires on and put the other tires on one at a time. All the RE950s cause a slight vibration that I would not complain about, but when they are all on the car together the vibration becomes bad enough to be unacceptable
I am sure the shop that installed my tires are morons, but is there any way they could have balanced all four tires slightly wrong? If there was a problem with a defective tire would it be likely to happen to more than one?
I am having the tires balanced on a road force machine this week and they say they will be able to tell me if the tires are out of round, is there anything else I should ask them to look for?
