AP Racing Brakes: Your wheel offset?

For those who are running AP Racing (Stillen) brakes, what is your wheel width and offset?

I am wondering if something with 17X8.5 +42mm will clear the brakes up front.

Thank you!

18X8.5 with 40mm offset.

Key factors to clear AP brakes.
Rim width. It must be greater than 8"
Offset. Between 35mm to 40mm. 42 might work.
wheel design. Fat lip probably won't work. Spokes that bends out near the lip helps.

Go it!

Thanks guys! You two are really helpful. The spoke design is just like what 1MAX2NV said...no deep lips and the spokes meet close at the inner egge of the lip.

slammed95: I thought you were using the Enkeis with 17X9 with 38mm offset?

Whether it will clear is totally dependent on spoke design.

slammed95,

I believe I was mistaken. I thought your RP-F1s are 17X9 in the front and 17X9.5 for the rears.....

Based on my calculation, the difference between 17X8 with 35mm offset and 17X8.5 with 42mm offset is very minimal, close to 1mm....with the 17X8 holding the advantage. So, if your wheels clear them by .5 inch....I should have plenty of room...... assuming the spoke design is good.

Thank you for your post guys!

WOW...that's interesting. Same offset but the wider rim didn't clear. Are the 17X9's lip bigger than 17X8?
