Any guesses? (wheel rub questions) long

Might me the wrong forum, but I will let the moderators decide.

I have a 2000 max and I recently bought the 2004 maxima 18's with the factory rubber (245/45/18) in them. Everywhere I was reading people were saying you would have to run smaller tires on them as they will rub in the rear on 5th gens.

Not wanting to spend the money for tires if I didn't have to, I mounted the rear driver side wheel (awfully ghetto, I know) and took it for a drive. I experienced no rub whatsoever. I swerved violently, hit potholes, hard cornered - nothing. My car was empty in the trunk and rear seat. It was drivers side (and I am not light - 250#'s). Any guesses why others are rubbing and mine didn't? Would it make a difference if all of the 18's were mounted? One thing I should mention is I am running stock springs however I replaced the horrible rear struts about 15,000 ago with tockiko's.

Any feedback (especially if you are/have tried running the 04 18's on your 5th gen) would be greatly appreciated. Oh yeah, before anyone mentions "why you get the 04's there heavy as hell". I am 27, married, one infant (who is in the car most of the time) - needless to say I was looking for a nice looking wheel and speed/hp loss is not a factor, and I got them for $700 (new condition with perfect goodyears).

Thanks all!
