I'm putting 17 inch rims on my max. How will 225/45-17 look on it. Does anyone have any pics of that size? Will my car look wierd without being lowered with that setup? I'm afraid it will make the wheels stick out to much with the bigger wheels and 4x4 look.

 

I ordered some 17's last week and they are sending 225/40 's with my package. I will probaly have the same prob. so iam lowering mine

 

This may help you also, a 225/45/17 has a sidewall height of 4inches. A 225/40/17 has a sidewall of 3.5in.

 

Why don't you just get 225/50/17s?

 

This may be a dumb question, but how wide are your new 17" wheels?
