Rubbing or not depends on the offset of his wheels. However, I agree that 245 is too wide for 7.5" wheels. Should have got 235/40/18.

your tires may fold during hard cornering

225/40/18 is acceptable, but 235 series is highly recommended.

I had 245/40/18s. I sold them b/c the tire was too big for me, it made my rims look small, no rubbing issues......

so...im buying 18s, 8 inches wide, 38mm offset...

i am getting 225/40/18, should i call them and tell them to change it to 235? or will it rub? i rather have a small tire and NO RUBBING than a big enough tire with rubbing...

the guys at americas tire told me to get the 225, thats what they recomended... i thought it should be 235 but then again thats what i was gona get on rims with only 7.5" width not 8 inches...

so should i change the order to 235? or stay with the 225...?
