Would these tires work? Instead of stock size

Well I need to replace my tires...again. Now the stock size on my stock 16's is 215/55/16 now I can get a sweet deal on some 225/50/16 they would cost me half the price. I'm just wondering if it would cause any problems with the ABS or something. I have a 1998 Maxima SE fully loaded AUTO ..Please let me know, as I ahve zero tread left and need to make a decision ASAP. Thanks inadvance.

yeah, they will work with the stock rims 16 x 7, but will look and feel better on a 16 x 7.5 rim. i ran this tire for a while on my stock 16 x 7's and wasnt sure if i like how it felt or not.

they will certainly work but the 215/55/16 are much better in my opinion on the stock rim.

OK so it's not as good of a ride? As in harsher or...? I was more concerned about it messing something up in the computer or something. I have to do some front end suspension repairs so these tires are saving me about $250 - $300 compared to if I bought the stock tire size. I think I'll go for it then.

According to the FSM, the stock rims are 16 x 6.5, not 16 x 7.
