Falken Ziex 512 Vs. Sumitomo HTR+

Alrite, i bought the sumitomo HTR+, 225/45/17, as my first tire on my 17's, about 1.5 years ago, put like 25k miles on them...and the treadwear is horrible and is very uneven, center wears alot faster than any other edge...and this is with good rims balanced, and proper alignment...and this isnt just me saying this, as other have experienced likewise
The HTR+ were very good at the beginning but with time and wear, they QUICKLY showed their downsides, and i dont want that happening again as i have to replace them immediately
So i was wondering, are the Falken 512 any better than the HTR+, if anyone has experience with them LONG enuf, thanx for the info
Also, wheres the cheapest place i can get the 512's?
and if all else fails, ill prolly just get Toyo Proxes T1-S

I had the Sumitomo HTR+ and I can personally say that these tires wear in the center because of design issues and not because of over-inflation. I rotated them religiously at 5k intervals and kept the pressure at around 32 front 29 rear. They gripped like no other but after the first 15k miles they started wearing to the indicators.

If these tires need to be ran at 20psi in order to avoid the center wearing quicker, I don't care if someone blames the driver for having them "overinflated" at 32psi because I would rather care about safety in the short term than having to spend money to replace tires after 15k.

My lesson learned is that these tires are great for grip but wear extremely fast and uneven.

There are many other tires to choose from that are in the price range of the HTR+, wear evenly, and grip just as well.
