18 Inch Fitment Questions

I was getting ready to purchase some new wheels for my 2000 SE. I was looking into 18x8, with +40 offset, with 235/40/r18 tires. I just wanted to have final reassurance that this set up will not produce rubbing or binding issues. Also, my car is currently at stock ride height, but I was considering some Tein H-Techs. Would I run into issues if I do decide to lower? Thanks in advance for your help guys!

You should be fine. I believe the 2000 has bigger wheel whels than 4th gen does. I've seen people with bigger wheels than that.

I'm have 18x7.5 with 225/40/18 tires.
