typical tire question

So i need new tires, and i want it all: Good handling, traction, ride quality, tread wear, and no noise.....all for a next-to-nothing price.

I've been looking at a couple of different sets of cheap kumhos on tirerack.com. If i have to, i'd like to spend a little more and get a good all season tire, but i'm considering spending less and getting a strictly summer tire, then buying a pair of blizzaks for the winter. I need suggestions please......

I just got my Falken 512's in on friday and will have them install probally weds. I choose these tires due to the high ratings on all the categories and I got them shipped to me for $420. I am sure their are better tires out but not for the price range that I was look for. I think all in all I will save about $250 bucks just in the price of the OEM tires and these.

yeah, i checked them out. I'm thinking of getting the other falkens, the ones that are very similar (Falken GR Beta FK-451), except that they are Y rated instead of V.

The only problem i'm encountering now is that any major tire place around me will mount them, but won't offer a road hazard warranty on them.

Discount Tire always offer road hazzard. You have to pay extra for it but they'll replace it or fix it for free.

I just installed my 512 and they seem to ride better and as quiet as a max will get. I had mine installed at Just Tires and they offer road haz for 11 bucks each

i decided on the Falken GR Beta FK-451. Kost tire and muffler wants like $550 for the tires, mounting, balancing, disposal, an alignment, and road hazard plan, which is effective for the life of the tire.

It's more than i was planing on paying, but at least i'll have peace of mind.
