but it really wasnt much of a help
since everyone just talked about Kumhos

I have stock 16 rims on a 2000 GLE
need to replace the OEM Toyos badly
anyways what are your feelings on these tires
that the local tire shop suggested for me:
all are 215/55/16s

Goodyear RS-A
Kumho Ecsta Supera 712
Fulda Carat Attiro
Toyo Proxes FZ4

i dont want to break the bank but i do realize you get what you pay for
so what do you think is the best tire all around?
Im not picky about road noise
im just concerned about grip and wear

 

are used tires in your budget? A friend of mine got some falken ziex 512's for $40 a piece with 80% tread left.

so im shooting for new

 

its cool i picked up some Bridgestone Potenza G 009s today

 

I know nothing of Fulda or Kumho, I have had the Goodyear. I don't care much for Goodyear, I think that they are heavy and overpriced, Toyo i've had good luck with, however, in the past the FZ4 was know to bubble and not wear long. Do a search on the net, or www.tirerack.com, lots of reviews on there. Chris

although i didnt get much info on the FULDAS

well I went to the local tiresplus and I said i wanted the RSAs
but they were out of stock so they tried to sell me Turanzas for 700
bucks and I was not going to be able to afford that so I said Id look elsewhere
so they gave me 4 Potenza G 009s for the same price as the RSAs
so far so good sticky and not too loud
