I have an 02 max with the standard 225/50/17 Craptenzas and NEED to get snow tires for next year. I can get a set of 225/55/16's cheap but noticed that 215/55/16's are recommended at TireRack.com. When I run the comparison the 225's are only off 0.4% in circumference vs the 215/55 which are 3.8% smaller. Does anyone know why the 215's are recommended and not the 225's? Also, would there be any problem mounting the 225's on the 2000-2001 16" stock wheels? (that is if I can find a set of them cheap too).
