wide rims wont make that big of a difference on dish size, since our offsets are so high. you would need a pretty low offset to get the deep dish look, unless you go with companies such as Axis, Iforged or HRE, who make the custom dish looks for high offsets like us!

What size tire would you recommmend for a rim that is 18x9.5? That also has a 1.5 to 2 in lip?

mytek, refresh my memory. What are the specs on the rear wheels-width and offset. Also what brand tires are those. I want to move up at least one size in the rear from my 255/40/18's on the Volk's(18x8.5, +40 offset). I want the biggest thing that will fit in the fender well without rubbing. If I go 275's, going with a 35 series.

On rubbing, are you talking about the little nub where the fender and bumper meet and it curves into the fender well? I ground that down on mine and eliminated all rubbing problems.

my rear is 18x9.5, 44 offset w/ a 275/40/18 nitto 555 tire..... ya, its that inner fender well that rubs it....i remember u sayign that u grounded it down and it wasn't an issue....but yea, if u did that, then u should be able to fit a 275/40 w/o any issues....but i would go 265/35.....my rear wheel looks kinda fat....like too much tire....lol here take a look at the pics... http://home.houston.rr.com/myktek/rims/

i'll try to make the next HNE meet and u can test fit my rim on yours if u like.

Correction, the lips on these things are 3". What is turning like with a 9.5" wide rim? Do you see any issues running an 18x9.5 in the front and the back?
