Falken 512 vs Nitto 555

Falken 512 vs Nitto 555
I need a comparsion from people who may have owned both tires.
Right now I have nitto 555 all around.
The front tires are now bald, and I need to replace (225 40 18's)
My car has a Sc'er so dry traction is very important. However, the nitto 555 has very poor rain handling. Winter is coming soon, and I'm thinking I should get some all seasons instead. What do you guys suggest?
Going to Falken, will I get better rain traction, and how much worse will my dry traction be?
I have also read that falkens wear pretty fast, is that true?

Didn't have either, Falken or Nitto.
But I do have Sumitomo HTR+, really like them (suppose to last long, great in all weather conditions, tons of size selection)

HTR+ are horrible when cold, like a cold day and cold tires. They're like hard as heck. I can burnout just smashing the gas. But it helps in treadlife. I've never had 512 in rain yet.
I've driven Nitto 450 and falken 512 on my friend's car. The falken can't hang in turns like the nitto. For rain, 512 is much better.
If you've got some steel rims laying around, throw some all-seasons on those... and keep your good summer tires on pretty rims.

i didn't get squat for treadlife outta my Sumi's. i'm just at 30k, and i need 4 new tires. I don't burnout or anything like that...they just didn't live up to the tread wear rating. I would get them again though, as they're a great performing tire.

90% confidence as opposed to how much confidence with which tire?
I am always skeptical of how a car will handle in rain. I smilie everytime i expect the car to loose control but it does not.
Do you have a tire that gives you 100% confidence in the rain?

I've had exp w/ Nitto 450, Falken 512s, and Falken ST-115. I liked them all but for winter driving, definitely go w/ 512s. I've found better wet traction w/ Nitto compared to ST-115. My ST-115 is really low on tread so my next set of summer tires will probably be a set of Nittos.
