Replacing orginal Tires with..........

Hancook Optimo or Futura Touring from Pep Boys. I dont know if these are decent tires. The orginal equipment is Bridgestone Potenza RE92
22525017 are hard to find.

If anyone has any suggestions on what tire to put on my car
PLEASE let me know.

They are going bald and I need to replace them like yesterday

Dont even go for the OEM's they suck. I have heard of max owners putting Kumho tires on...Not a big fan of them. I would try and stay with a more known brand name, such as Michelin or pirelli. I am in the same boot, trying to figure out what tires to get.

I wouldn't buy Pep Boys tires, and it's a well known fact that the Protenza's aren't that great either.

I'd suggest a more performance oriented tire and I'm partial to the Yokohama AVS-ES100's. Though, Kuhmo, Michelin, and some other major brands make great performance tires as well.

I just put on a set of Michelin Pilot Sports and am happy with them so far. If you don't want to spend quite that much go with the Falken's 512's. They are supposed to be a great tire for the money and were my second choice.

This is what I have so far as pricing goes. Tell me if I can do better

Big O Tires Eurotour V Rated 693.97 set of 4 4 year roadhazard no charge
Firestone Potenza only 2 in stock = 782.75
Michelin $239.00 each
Falken ZIEX2E512 169.75 NOT IN STOCK
Yokohoma AVSES100's cant find

These size tires are a pain in the neck to find with that V rating and size.
Is there another selection I could try ?

"Yokohoma AVSES100's cant find"

I have had these in 235/45-17 size for about a year now. I won't be buying them again. I have always had Yokos going back to my old CRX days and they have always been good tires. These started out great, but lately have been getting louder and louder as they wear. I've had them balanced and re-balanced, had the car aligned, checked for bad wheel bearings, and all they do is get louder. I run them at about 36 psi all around (maybe too low for these tires in this size).

I have no idea what to get next
