Experience with Nanking NS1 Tires? Good/Bad?

Hey Guys,

Just picked up some 17x7 rims for cheap. Wanted to get inexpensive (but decent performing) tires to match.

I can get Nanking NS1 tires for $69 per corner at a local tire shop. I've shopped around, and there's no better deal around at actual tire places.

I can't do better online, either, because I'd still have to pay a tire shop to mount and balance them and would end up paying more. Plus I might have to pay shipping on top of that.

QUESTION: What experiences have people had with these tires? Guys at several tire shops said they are a good performance bargain with handling characteristics on par with Kuhmo's and such.

They are an excellent tire for the price. A couple of people I know have the NS1's on 17's and they stick to the road. The only issue with them (experienced by both of them) was how they began to wear out faster over time. At around 45-50% tread left, the tires went bald within months.

thanks for the advice. I think I will go with these tires and see how they do. Can't really beat the price for new tires... Hopefully I will get decent life out of them.
