WHeels balanced?
ok I have new wheels and I have had them balanced twice. But I still get the same vibration from about 30-70 mph...once I get around 80 it goes away. Whenever I have had a balancing issue it has gotten worse as speed increases...this is the opposite. Does anyone have a clue what this could be?

i have similar problem - but the weired thing is that my car vibrates one day and then the next day is much smoother, Like last week i've put hubcentric rings on my 17" rims and took the car for ride - wow !!! it was that smooth all the way up to 85mph...
But 3 days later car started to shake and drive like crap !!! right now i'm really stumped what would cause that , I know that mine tires develop flat spots overnight , but other than that everything else on the car that might cause vibration is either new or recently replaced , my bearings have 140k on them but there is no noise or any play in them . I could also be the steering rack -hmmmm.....

Aftermarket wheels are usually overbored on the backside for different car applications. Hubcentric ring is used to ensure the wheel is hub-centered when mounted. If wheel is not properly centered, you can have a steering wheel shimmy. Hope that answers your question.
