What size did you get?

235/45/17 They just came in today (Fast shipping) and I will get them on later this week.

These are a really nice tire. I think they should do well in a bit of snow too.

Hmm.........I just did a price out on their site for the 235/45/17's and it came out to $480 shipped? Does it vary on the location they have to ship it to? I think shipping might be more for me cuz I'm in NY, unless there's a rebate code that you used?

I didnt use a code. Here is the breakdown:

Totals
Items Total: $432.00
Shipping & Handling $37.76
Total $469.76

Tires were 108 each.
I selected standard ground shipping and they got here over the weekend.

$432.00 for the tires is right, but the S&H is $48.52 for me, ground. It might be cheaper only because you live closer to their shop than I do?

Either way, they're still a good price! Lots of luck with the tires!

Here are the results.

Tires Before: (craptenzas w/ 45,000 miles <a scary 45k>)

After: New Toyo Proxes 4 (235/45/17)

I have only put about 30 miles on these. They feel good, but I will not pass judgement until it rains here again. That is how I judge my tires. Dry they feel real good. Before my max would slide on corners and spin out everywhere, so far, I have not been able to break these free under normal conditions. I am not not trying to break them loose.

Edgeracing.com had them to me in no time at all, and I am pleased with the purchase. These should perform well in all conditions.

Hey Greek,

Do you have any side shots of your car? What I would like to know is does the width make up for the smaller sidewall? or can you even tell the difference

is there a reason tirerack doesn't carry toyo tires? Or am I just overlooking them... ?

Problably because they have not worked out a deal to be a vendor... simple business relationships.

You can get them at edgeracing.com 108 ea for 235/45/17

i'm going through the same thing right now...
my top picks so far are:

- Continental ContiExtremeContact
- Yokohama Avid H4S
- BFGoodrich Traction T/A (H or V)
- Falkin 512s

for the stock 15s they're running about 65-70 (falkins are butt-cheap on edgeracing at 40-something). for 17s, obviously they'll be a bit higher.

i'm also distantly thinking about the Pzeros because my a6 came with P6s (which are lower-quality than the Pzeros), so i wanted to know what the Pzeros would be like. My buddy is getting Contis for his 3-series coupe. i'm thinking of either the contis or the falkins. i got a reply on the audi forum from a tirerack dude and he suggested the BFG Traction's.

by now we've listed just about every all-season tire...hope this helps.

yeah, i was hoping to get them from tirerack so they would mount/balance them for me before shipping them, and i wouldn't have to worry about some idiot mechanic scratching them up, which i've heard happens alot around these parts.
