Would tire size 245x40x19 fit without any issue??

I'm thinking of getting 19's but I wanted to get the tire size 245x40x19 and I'm jus wondering if it will fit without any rubbing. I'm riding on 245x40x18's right now and I hav no problem. any help would be appriciated.

I'm debating between these two.
Axis Crux in 19 wit Maxis lip.

Axis Finish in 19 wit Staggered fit

you'll need 35 profile, as in 245-35-19

40 profile you might have some issues............

I'm running 19" x 8" rims with 245/35-19's, and have plenty of room left to lower my Max. Although, you need to make sure you have the right offset to insure proper fitment within the wheel well, then you are good to go!

235/35-19 is ideal. The other tires mentioned are a bit taller. Here's a pic on 19 X 8.5" rim.

If you're getting AXIS wheels I think they only come in 8". W/ a 40 series it will be taller. Since the wheel is only 8" a 245 may be too wide. Not that it won't fit but the offset for the AXIS is most likely 35mm and you may lightly rub on a 245 tire. 235/35 is better.

Many people, including myself, who are running 19x8" wheels (Axis Se7en's for me) are using 245/35/19 tire sizes with no issues.

Is the Crux new? I haven't seen it before, but I like it.

Go with 35 profile. 40 profile will look really silly.

Crux is probably the newest wheel by Axis. I'm gonna get it with 245x35x19 with Maxis lip......2.5" lip in front and 3.5" lip in rear.

NO! Don't get maxis lip. Geseke had it on his Se7en Mods, and it make sit look really stupid. Yes, you get a bigger lip to brag about, but the spokes will look seriously retarded, and your 19's will look like 17's.

Thanx fo tha heads up.......lately i've been thinkin about it too, I did had an idea that it'll look stupid in a way.....unless my car would be rear wheel drive with real wider wheel on rear. So, I'm jus gonna get it with reguler setup with 2.5 lip all around.
Hamy I wish I could get ur wheels but I can't pull out the cash like that.......I'm scratching my credit card.......hehe

I'm one of the guys with the 245/40/19 wheels. After driving it for around 5+ months, I have had no problems with rubbing, and I'm lowered around approx. 1.7 - 2 inches. The wheels look slightly smalled because of the thicker sidewall but nothing that noticeable. I like the fact that I have a little bit more rubber between the road and the rims.

And overall, they are only 3.3% larger in diameter. For more pics, check out my website.

Nathan: I didn't know until just a little while ago, that you had 40 profile. I can't figure out why, but your tires always looked like the standard 35 profile to me. I don't know if it has to do w/the sidewall on that specific tire, or an optical illusion b/c of your specific drop or the style of rim. I know I'd love to have the extra sidewall, if it just didn't look so funny, but yours is the exception so far.

What are you using for your drop?

Thanks, I'm using Ground Control coilovers and I'm guessing its around a 1.5-1.7" drop right now. I think if I'd go lower, the rims would look even bigger and hide the sidewalls which aren't covered by the fenders at the moment.
