Winter wheels/tires for 20th Maxima

I'm looking to get winter steelies and tires for my dad's 2001 Maxima 20th Aniv.. I'm guessing 16 is the smallest I can go? What wheel size and tire size am I looking for?

Wouldn't it be easier to buy winter tires for your stock wheels?
Unless your dad wants to get heavy beater wheels because of the nasty weather...which is understandable.

Well the stock wheels are 17's so winter tires are too expensive for 17's. Basically I think you can get steelies and 16's for the same price as just 17s.

As well, he doesn't want to beat up the stock wheels.

They had a deal recently for steel rims and winter rubber. Otherwise check the wheels and tires classifieds. I just found a set of steel rims and winter tires for my AE that a fellow orger was unloading. http://forums.maxima.org/forumdisplay.php?f=63

good luck

What's going on here! This is such a simple question no? When I had to do this for my Spec-V I had a working search that gave me the answer right away and 2-3 replys in a day to confirm what I found. That's on a much more complicated car to get steelies for as well...

225/55 R16 gives the least speedo/odo error. From my notes, the Dunlop M2s have the same rpm as the stock crapenzas, 804.
