I'm looking for something cheap/decent for my mother's car. Anybody have experiences with some cheaper tires that did them well? i'm not looking for anything crazy. they just need to be nice to mom. She doesn't go far. I was looking at Kuhmo 716s on tire rack. thoughts? other suggestions? HELP!

Potenza RE950s. Really good high performance all-season tires. Long treadlife, excellent dry and wet traction, and decent snow traction. I had them on my old 92SE on the stock rims (205/65/15). Loved 'em.

The 716's should be fine. I have bought 3 sets from tire rack already. Those tires are great for everyday driving. Also they have pretty high ratings on tirerack.com and are cheap!
