45 series tires on 18" wheels for 2k1 20th anniv. max?

45 series tires on 18" wheels for 2k1 20th anniv. max?
Anybody out there using 45 series tires on 18" wheels for a 2k-2k3 max? Most people seem to choose 40 series, but I live in NYC, and 40 series tires just won't cut it on these roads - my wheels wouldn't last a week. Tirerack recommends 235/45 18s on their 18X8 rims, but most other places seem to recommend 40 series. I've got a 2k1 20th anniversary max that I think 18s would look great on, even without a drop. Anybody got pics (of any max) with this tire size?

Just checked out your homepage - veeeery nice. Any problems with rubbing, balancing, alignment? Was your tire package recommended following "Plus sizing" or did you choose it yourself?

no problems at all and I am lowered about 2 inches now on JIC coilovers. But if you like this setup they are for sale right now. Let me know if your interested. Rims are in great condition and tires have about 6-7/32 tread left. about 65% on two and about 5/32 (50%) on the other two.
