Stock 350z tires RE040?

Are these as poor of quality as the stock bridgestones on our maximas. I am looking at buying a pair. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Nothing is as bad as the RE92s. You looking to buy the tires for a set of 350z wheels you already have or the wheels and tires both? Also, are they the 17" or 18'? Some have mentioned going to a smaller sidewall with the 18" wheels if you're lowered.

I have a set of 18s right now that I am running a 245/45/18 on. I just lowered with JIC's and now need smaller tire. So the 225/45/18 is about the same size as the stock tire on the maximas which is a 225/50/17. Its pretty close. So I will be able to take the car down more.

Well, sounds like you have a good take on what you'll need to do and from what Tirerack is saying, the RE040 seem to be a good choice. Not great wet traction, but overall good ratings.

I have a set of '04 350Z stocks with these tires on it. I ran them for about a month. They definitely are better than the RE-92's, but for the price, I guarantee that you can find a better tire from TireRack.
