which size tire?

I am lowered on JIC's. I am currently running a 245/45/18 i need to go smaller. But am confused with whether to go for a 225/45/18 or a 245/40/18 or a 235/40/18. Could someone with some tire knowledge tell me what my best choice here is for ride and how low I could take the car with each. Offset on the rims is 42mm and the rim is 7 or 7.5 inches wide.

235/40/18 would be ideal, 245/40/18 could also work, but might not be smaller enough for you, and also might rub with that offset.

why did you get 45s to begin with? You can run either 235/40/18 or 245/40/18.

well depending on your rim..... 225/45 for a 7" or the 7.5" rim.... you can run the 235/40 on a 7.5" ... 245/40 should be on a 8" rim
