For 19" rims, what tire width is best for the maxima? 225,235,245?

I have a question that will determine which rim I will be getting for my ride. I have been looking at two 19" rims, one is 7.5 wide, and the other is 8.5 wide. Both rims are ADR rims. On the 19x7.5 rim I was told that I could fit a 235/35/19 tire on it, on the 19x8.5 rim I can fit 245/35/19 tires on it. I know that you get better performance with wider rims, but are they good on the 5th gen max? For people with 245 rims are they really worth the $30 bucks more a tire that I would have to pay? (Another reason that I am wondering if 245 make a big difference is because I slightly prefer the 7.5 rim. So for those of you still with me... what you think?
thanks

7.5 for 19's?? thats lame. get the 8.5 inch and go with 245. they are not really that much more expensive.

http://www.discounttiredirect.com/di...45&ar=35&rd=19

get the falken azenis St115 or FK451. free shipping and awesome prices

$15 more for 245 not $30

I logged about 70k miles on my 19's , before my Max got wrecked. Believe me , you want a 8.5 wide wheel, and a 245 tire. 7.5 width is for ricers. You won't be dissapointed.

245 eh? I've been thinking that the tire was a better deal for that rim... just wasn't sure. (only because the 7.5 rim was cool) but now I think I will stick to the 245 since people say good things about em... Get Falkens with "rim protector"... $210 a tire, but oh well.. it will look tight.
Thanks for all the input guys!

i've got 245/40/19's on mine, couldn't be happier - in the pothole-laden and ****ty in general streets of philadelphia, the extra tire has really been a big help and it doesn't look awful either

To anwer the first question- 265's is the best tire width since it fits all around.
To answer the second question- Given only those 3 choices, 245's.

Hey, Maximas are racecars...remember that conversation?

Personally, I'd go with the 245-35-19 as the taller sidewall will be ever so slightly better riding. But a wider wheel and wider tires mean more weight. But a 7.5" wheel won't fill out the fenders if the offsets are too high.

Performance-wise you won't feel the difference inbetween 7.5 and 8.5 width wheels. Even less with a 235 vs 245. Way too difficult to drive that hard on the streets.
