245/40/18 - Bad idea or pk to do??

So will 245/40/18 tires rub on my wheel wells when i turn or give me any problems? does anyone have this size on their car??

I think that it would depend what the offset is on the rims you're using. I have a set of G35 coupe 18's, with a 245/45/18, and they rub a little, but the offset is a +30. It may not be as bad with the 40 series tire, though. I'm planning on just getting 235/40/18's to be a little safer.

i am on eibach's and tokico's w/ the following rims and have no problems up front
Racing Hart Type C5 3 Piece
18x8.5 45 offset 245/40/18 1" lip
18x9.5 44 offset 275/40/18 2" lip

in the rear, it rubs the little part that bends into the car on the fender... hope that helps...
