Tires for Maxima

I need to get rid of stock Potenzas... Do you think Bridgestone Turanza LS-V would be the answer?

Please, help to find the best (preferrably all-season) tires for Maxima 2001 (P225/50/R17). Thanks!

Beat me to it...

I'd also suggest doing some research before posting to see what tires are available for your rim size and presenting a list of tires you're looking at because people don't like having to look things up for ya.... really, they don't...

Avon

Go to Tirerack.com and look at the new AVON tyres they have.
They just released the Avon 550 which is ALL-season tire. Great reviews from people who have tried it in dry, wet and snow. They are quiet, stable and durable. Look at them. They are a lot cheaper than Turanza too.

I personally have the Avon Tech 500 - the Summer, high performance model. GREAT tires. for $125 each, they are worth every penny. I also have Michelin Pilot Sport A/S and i can honestly say that the Avon 500 are very very close to performance abilities. The Avons are also MUCH wider than the same size Pilot A/S. I like the look and feel of these tires. Buy them if you need Summer/Wet tires. If you need all season tires - get the Avon 550 A/S. If you want real winter traction - get real winter/snow tires.

Good luck!

I put Coopers on about 2 months ago, and I am very happy with them. They are great in the snow and even better in the rain. The sidewalls are not as stiff as the Potenzas which could be seen as a good or bad thing due to the softer/more comfortable ride. They cost $535 with road hazard, so very affordable...just wish the Avons had been available at the time. I may have considered them as well.

Best all season high performance tires, only two IMO are the Pirelli PZero Nero MS or the Toyo Proxes 4. You won't be disapointed

I can't answer that question (too many variables/unknowns), nor can I speak from personal experience re: the LS-Vs but...I have read nothing except favorable comments on that specific tire on the org.

I dont think the Michelin A/S Pilots are that great....The treadware of the tire is not too great.

You must drive pretty hard because my buddies A/S lasted much longer than my Falkens and I squeezed 40k miles out of my 1st set of 512s.
