Anyone heard of this wheel manufacturer?

I found a 19" wheel on Ebay that I really liked. Here's the link.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...RK%3AMEWA%3AIT

I haven't heard of the manufacturer before, but they have some nice designs. The manuf. is "Stern" wheels and here's their website:
http://www.sternwheels.com/
I think the wheel is real heavy for a 19" wheel = 27lbs . It is a cast 1 piece design and comes in multiple offsets and colors. Does anyone know what an average 19" cast wheels weighs? I know weight can vary wildly by design and manufacturing technique, but I'm just looking for a ballpark weight here. Thanks for your input guys/gals.

I've heard of the brand "Stern" and that model looks pretty tight too. Don't know much about the brand, so couldn't really tell you though...

Triple8Sol,
Do you know the weight of your SSR's or your former Axis rims?.... I've also got my eye on the HP5's from HP wheels and the Axis Hiro's.

I looked at those myself when I was shopping around. It looks as if they are owned by the same company that owns ADR wheels. If you go to http://www.adrwheels.com and look at the bottom of the page you will notice they have links to RSL wheels, Nitro Truck Wheels, Nex Racing Performance and Stern Wheels.

From their website:

There have been an increasing number of people purchasing their wheels online. Golden Apple Corporation would like all of our customers to research all information regarding the dealer selling the wheels before making a purchase. Anyone considering ADR Design, RSL, NITRO, or STERN wheel products seen on online auction websites are discouraged from purchasing. Golden Apple Corporation will not warranty any product sold through online auctions because all authorized dealers of our product are not allowed to post on auction sites. Golden Apple Corporation also cannot guarantee any fitment sold through online auctions, the quality, and the authenticity of the products sold through online auctions. Online websites pose less risk, but should still be screened whether or not they are an authorized STERN, ADR, RSL, or NITRO wheel dealer. Golden Apple Corporation cannot guarantee the accuracy of any information posted by an online auction seller, and cannot be held responsible for any transactions between a private seller and private buyer. Also, we cannot guarantee that the product you are purchasing is authentic and first quality ADR, RSL, NITRO, or STERN products if purchased through online auctions and/or unauthorized dealers. If you have any questions regarding our online auction policy, please email us at sales@adrwheels.com. This policy does not affect our online dealers, or legit online websites, and ONLY refers to online auction style websites and classfied advertising type websites.

Thanks for the info Xtant. I know ADR is looked upon as a second or third tier wheel manufacturer, but I'm wondering if Stern is going to be their high end line of wheels? Your quote from Golden Apple Corp. is very interesting indeed, because Stern and other brands of ADR wheels are all over Ebay!! I guess maybe I'll stick with the HP or Axis.

Anybody else have wheel weights for their 19" rims???? I need some input here guys and gals.

However, that is true about most products sold on ebay. If I were buying an expensive piece of electronics I might think twice, but wheels are a different story as the warranty from the manufacturer sucks anyway. Just good to be buyer beware.

If you want Axis, I might be able to get a good price for you.
