I believe that the offset is different. WIth the fronts, you can't run the dustcap because it interferes with the cap for the spindle.
I dunno about the rears.

Yes, they will fit.. The service manager at my local dealer is running them and his lowered.. No rub from what I am aware.

they will i love them....i'm about to switch tires tho...and its alot lower now...so they will fit i have the 245-45-18 rear and 225-45-18 front

anybody got the 17" 350ZX rims? did they fit a 4th gen with stock susprension?
Also, can you guys educate me on wheel offset? I haven't found a thread that gave me a clear answer.
These are the specs of the 350ZX tires I would use:
Front: 17" x 7.5" offset: 30mm
Rear: 17" x 8.0" offset: 33mm
Bolt Pattern: 5 x 114.3
Front: 225/50/17
Rear: 235/50/17
