Will 245/55/18 tires fit an 01 MAx

I have an opportunity to buy 4 tires with rims that came off an 04 Max. Size is 245/55/18. My initial thought is tires are too tall to fil the whhel bay without scraping. Am I correct?

Thanks for the help. Too bad the rims and tires were selling for 750.00 for the whole set, which really makes me wonder how hot thiese are.

an 04 max rus 245/45/18 and you can put those on even though they are a little big. I had them on my 2000 and also had a 2 inch drop and I was fine.

yeah they should fit fine... i have 245/45/17's and still have gap like hell... i mean ure talking a 10% difference in tire (which isnt much w/ a 245) and 1" more in diameter... i say they should fit
