Offset For 19" Rims On 2k2 I35

One of my friends just picked up an '02 I35, and he's looking at picking up some 19's. I'm familiar with 4th gen offsets, but not really 5th gens.

From browsing around, it looks like something in the 35mm-45mm range would work, assuming a width of 8"-8.5". It also looks like tire size would be 245/35/19. Does this sound about right? Any other suggestions/comments?

30mm would be ideal. 35-37 works too. Any higher than that and it looks funny

Thanks guys. So he should look for something in the 30-37mm range, probably towards the higher end of that range if the wheel is wider?

I'd say anywhere between 30-35mm for an 8.5" rim would look good.
