BFG Traction T/A "H & V"

My 1998 SE has the stock 16 inch rims on it. I am looking at the BFG Traction T/A "H or V" speed rated. I see many threads about tires but no reviews on these tires. My car is driven daily, including snow, so traction is very important. If I want to drive more aggressive, I borrow my wife's M3 or take out one of our stangs or vettes to play.

I looked at Tire Rack and see these tires are highly rated. They are ranked first out of 17 High Performance All Season tires.

Any feedback or thoughts on these tires?

Thanks,
Mike

From what ive read on Bmw forums and other forums these tires are great and i would recommend them. I wanted those type of tires for my car but they didnt make them in my size. I say go for it.

I have posted a recent thread for feedback on this same tire. I am looking at the BF Goodrich Traction TA (H) and the Yokohama Avid H4S (H) for my 95SE (5-speed). I presently have the Goodyear Eagle RSA original tires on the car.

I am restricted in my options because I intend to keep my OEM 15" sawblades.

For my car these tires were rated #1 (BFG) and #2, respectively, by tirerack.

I can get them locally for the same price - both 60K tires.

BFG is superior in traction as their name implies (dry, wet, snow) and handling, whereas the Yoko are superior in road noise and comfort.

I was really leaning towards the BFG as I like to push it a bit in the corners on twisty roads.

However, my dilemma now is that the Yokos are 21 pounds, same as my RSAs, but the BFG are 25 pounds and I might prefer the lighter weight tire.

So it may ultimately come down to a coin toss.
