Who has hp racing evo's on there 4th gen Maxima?
i just had them put on today and i found out i had to get wheel spacers because the cap stuck out to far. Did anyone else have the problem here? When i went to buy the wheel spacers the guy said you can take the cap off and even the bolt in the front wheels, he said you can flatten it out too, did anyone try this because he said the wheel spacers were dangerous since they are aluminum and they can brake. Anyone have any input on this?
It's the same for the 5th gens. On the rears, I just pounded the dust cap gently to round it a bit until the wheel fit. Can't use the center caps, though. Last summer I removed the dust caps. No problem mounting the wheel and using the center caps.
For the front, I fashioned some plastic 'donuts' that I super glued to the snap ring of the center cap and stuck the HP logo part on that. Has enough clearance for the front axle.
