help!! need to know what size hub rings to use with alessio wheels!

i know a bunch of you guys on here have alessio rims too.. i bought a set about 2 months ago, the guy didnt send me hub rings.. i now have 3 sets of rings, and none of them fit correctly cause everyone, including the dealer who sold me the rims, is a complete moron.. i tired calling alessio themsleves but they are in the process of closing there US branch...

i know the inner size of the rings need to be 66.06, have no idea what the outer size is. the rims are 17" , (dont think that matters), and its for a 96 max.. please help...

this is also posted in the wheels and tires forum, but due to the lack of traffic there, i also posted it here..

It's interesting you mention the inner size needs to be 66.06 as I've been told and confirmed that the inner is 66.1 and the outside for my 18" F1's is 69.1 but I don't know if that helps you with your 17" wheels, BigH is trying to get me my hub rings as we speak, he's here on the org usually in the Parts for sale forum or Canada forum. Good luck

i have seen the maxima listed as 66.06, as well as 66.1.. im going to assume that the 66.1 is just a rounded number.. altough i have 2 sets of rings that are suppose to be 66.1... one fits perfect around the hub, the others are too loose.. i was also told the outter was 69.1, but i dont know who to listen to anymore.. and if thats also a rounded number, whats the exact??

the closest ones i can find are 66.06 and 69.85... i found another site that if you look through the sizes, they dont have anything listed for a 66 to a 69, but if you do thr search by vehicle and wheel brand, they have alessio listed, but it doesnt tell you the final sizes of the ring they say u need.. ?????????????????

I had the same problem , my aftermarket rims where machined over to 76.1mm
and nobody had hubrings in that size, so i went out to local machine shop and had them custom cut on CNC lathe ( it cost me $100 ) but it was well worth it - no more vibrations.

You could measure you center hub with telescopic gauge and caliper

also before i forget... i have a set of hub rings that came in an alessio bag.. i didnt notice any parts numbers on them.. but anyway.. they were suppose to be that size.. they dont fit snugly around the hub of the car.. they were close, but there was still a little amount of play, which in reality, makes the rings useless.. so heres a stupid question for you.. do the ones you have fit snug on your hubs, and inside your rim, or was there play in yours also?

I got the rings together with my rims. Mine fit snug around the hub - you can still turn them around but you don't feel any play. Mounted in the rim you can't move them around at all. The partnumber I got from my receipt, it does'nt say anything on the rings.

Nick.
took your advice, and tried going to a few machine shops today.. after being bounced around from one to another, i finally got this guy at new york speed to look into making a set for me.. he said the problem he is gonna have, is trying to make rings that thin.. cause there only about 3mm thick.. i left him two different rings that i had for sizes.. one has a perfect inner diameter, the other is a perfect outter. he meausered them both, and together, a ring that 66.1 and 69.1 is a rite size. unfortunately, the alessio rings i have are not a 66.1 inner, so there useless. he may atempt to make them outta steel rather than aluminum so they dont break as hes machining them. i asked about boring out the wheels i have to make the larger set of rings i have fit, but he said thats not something he can do. so, hopefuly sometime tomorrow ill get a call on weather he'll be able to makes these or not.

ya know, the real kick in the a$$ about all of this, is that i spent $1200 on a set of new rims and tires to get rid of the vibration i had from driving on a set of slightly bent rims... and now i gotta go through this..

This hub-centric ring thing is a problem for me as well. I recently bought new wheels and tires trying to eliminate a vibration and made it worse. Turns out I need the rings but can't find them to fit my Alessio F1's. Yes it is true, Alessio closed it's Rancho Cucamonga, CA office and I can't find a distributor in the US that carries Alessio anymore. Did you find a place to get the rings? I ordered a set from Just For Wheels and they sent the wrong size. I know the inner is 66.1 but don't know the outer. Is it 69.1 as previously posted? Any help would greatly be appreciated. I am sick of shaking down the road! I though I had a balance problem and couldn't figure out why so many shops had a problem balancing my 17's. The solution is simple if I can locate a set of rings. Thanks, Sean

Good news! I found two places that will machine the rings out of plastic. My vibration is finally gone. Let me know if you still need rings.

You can buy the rings to fit any Alessio wheel at www.albawheels.com. Alessio's wheel bore is 69.1 for all their wheels according to Alessio. Click "caps and accessories", new window opens at Wheel Accesroies and click "products" and under other accssories click "Hub Rings". The item number is H69.1-66.1. This part number will be available May 17th on the website. My problem is now fixed. I hope you fix yours.

All the best,
Sean
