Which tires for 2001 Maxima?
Well, my current Dunlop Sport A2 (215/55-16) tires are getting bald at less than 25,000 miles.
Fortunately, Discount Tire Co. honors the warranty (50,000) giving me a credit of half the original price.
So I looked on the web and found two tires of interest, Yokohama Avid V4S (V-rated) and BFGoodrich Traction T/A H-rated.
Seems the Yoko's are better at ride and noise and the BF's are better at handling.
Anyone has experience with these tires?
Appreciate your opinions.

I can't get the AvidV4S for my 15" sawblades but can get the H4S. I have also considered the BF Goodrich Traction TA in H-rating.
I guess at the end of the day it comes down to which is most important for you: cornering/handling vs comfort/ride/noise level. The BF Goodrich excels at the former and the Yokohama at the latter. In H-rating, both are 60K tires and the price is virtually the same. I don't think you can go wrong on either one.
I am leaning towards the BF Goodrich. The only thing that causes me to hesitate is that they are 25lb. tires, while the Yokos are 21lb. tires, the same as I presently have.
If you have a GLE in an automatic, you may want the Yokos. If you have an SE in a5-speed, you may want the Traction TAs. Or flip a coin!

At the end of the day all you have to ask yourself is: What kind of a driver am I? If you're not aggressive and don't do much in the way of spirited driving, then go for the Yokos. If you like to get on it and run the car through the corners faster than the speed limit on occasion, then go for the Traction TAs.
If snow and ice are considerations, go for the Traction TAs. If it rains a lot go for the Traction TAs.
