haha gotcha. I've never liked black rims on cars....only on Jeeps

I just need to touch some areas up with more of the Wurth paint.

AIM? Because every time I open it I get hit with 15 different people trying to just carry on random conversations or spend hours of my time deciding on what springs or tires they should get....and it gets old quick.

I haven't been on there in a couple years....

Reminds me that I need to repaint my G18s again (I do it every winter while they're off the car and the G 17s are on the car).

I'm thinking of going with something darker this time. Already had original color, "hyper silver," light gunmetal, and the Werth silver. Maybe I'll black em out this time
hey irish, you look like the man to ask this question I been dying to know the answer to:

Is there 2 different color 18" G35 wheels available? I am under the impression that the brembo equipped cars had a darker version.

Thanks

There is only one OEM color, the darker of the two you're probably looking at. The eBay one comes in the original graphite/gunmetal and the lighter silver.

I've seen ebay knockoffs in person, the 18x7.5". They are powercoated dark silver/graphite. They do not have the luster look of the OEM version.

There is also an 18x8 eBay version from OE Wheels and it does have the high-luster silver paint on it.

as stated, the OEMs have a darker color with some luster to them. The ebay ones come in gunmetal-ish and "hyper silver"

Mine have been 3 different colors already, once I curbed two of them and discovered through trial and error that there is NO way to match the factory color/lustre.

The brembo equipped ones just look darker from all the extra brake dust from semi-metallic pads

hi did anyone running the 350Z 18" Track wheels the one that made by Rays Engineering Forged on the 4th Gen Maxima?

I'm going to use it this with 245/40 tyres and i do aware there will be rubbing but might roll the fender later.

Cheers

piece of advice, roll those fenders first. I bought my g35 rims with tires and said i'll change the tire right away, not to worry about rubbing issues. It's been 2 weeks and I'm still using the 245/45 rear because of laziness and I have sidewall shredding now.

Seems like a dumb way to achieve oversteer. Why would you want to do that?

^ As good as they look, the G 18's are a bit too heavy for drag racing... I've done autocross with them and am switching back to my OEM 16's for next weekend.

Or just pick up the right size and avoid rubbing at all (depending on drop, if any).

One of my boys told me how the the 05 maxima rims or the g35 18's were heavy and how " oh my brakes wont stop the rims" Thats why i asked in the first place which one was lighter.

MUAH! Got mine. Getting the tires mounted in the next day or so. Got bridgestone 760's super cheap and the shop owes me work. Maybe not the best tires, but for 80 a tire I could not pass it up. It will also give me time to save up for a better tire while reading about peoples experience with 235/40/18's.

Also a great thanks to TimW (Old school) and DaveB. Got the rims from Tim and Dave got me hooked up with some nice center caps (Silver with chrome Nissan logo).

Now when I am SURE that the winter has left the area, Ill put them on. LOL!

Any one here slammed with these wheels with 235/40/18? Do you get any rubbing issues, will I need to roll the fenders? I am seriously rubbing with the 245/45/18 tire and I plan on going lower in the future.

Does anyone know the size and offset of these wheels?

I think they might be 17x7, but not sure. They are from a 2004 g35 sedan upgrade package.

Thanks.

I'm lowered 1.7" in the front and 1.6" in the rear. I am picking up a set of 18" 7 spoke G35 wheels soon, and just wondering if I will rub using the stock G35 tire size(225/45/18 Front, 245/45/18 Rear)?

Also, how much slower will I feel, if at all?

If they are 30mm offset rims then you will probably rub the passenger rear.

why one sided rubbing? My driver rear was rubbing VERY bad compared to the passenger side. I rolled the fenders and I still get a slight rub when I have someone in the back, not as bad. But it is ONLY on driver side now.

What I was told via a Master Tech was that it was common for the Maxima rear beam to be slightly off. I assume that could go either way but most Maxima owners I have seen with similar setups have also stated the rear pass as the one that rubbed.

How can the beam be centered? Can I do it myself or must it be on an alignment machine?

You can do it yourself. Airtools recommended. I couldn't do it with a breaker bar.

Keep looking elsewhere. I got my g35 rims WITH tires for $300.
Some guy just wanted it out of his garage because it took up too much space so I talked him down to $300 from $500
