From post #23
"Anyone know the part# on the 2000 GXE cap? My 97 SE and Infiniti caps are not deep enough to lock, the part #'s are 40343/5P010 and 40342/AU510 respectively."
He's asking a question and giving numbers in the same paragraph. What do the two numbers mean respectively? I see the AU510 caps floating around but not the 5P010. What do I need for my G35's on a 4th gen?
Thanks, just don't want to waste my $$ on the wrong caps.

These?

They are part #40342 AU510. I haven't seen the #40343/5P010 for sale and don't know the difference.
Sorry looking for part#'s and don't know the difference.

Well I got the replicas on today. I needed to put what worked out to be about a 6mm spacer (1/4 inch) backs are perfectly flush with fender and I love them. On the backs I did have to bang the sides of the dust cap in. No biggy.
Front was a little different. The end of the axle(not sure of the name) sticks out and that was pushing the center cap out. The fronts without the spacer would be perfect but I need the spacer to have a center cap.
Here is what I am think about doing and would really appreciate feedback if this is wise. There is atleast 3/8 of inch at end of the axle but beyond the pin. I am thinking I can just hacksaw 1/4 inch off and then the fronts will sit perfect? Will this work?
Now a front drop is a must!

Yes, wesnine did reply as to why they didn't fit. My apologies as it must not have been in this forum. The axles stuck out too far for the center caps to fit (on the FRONT, not the back). It wasn't even close, btw. They then sent spacers which were not hubcentric. The wheels, FIT (the bolt pattern was correct). However, the 30mm offset is too small. Apparently irish44 and cutler have pounded the cap in (in the rear) so perhaps they can shed some light, but as far as my situation, I would not suggest anyone going this route.
Thanks.
Thanks.

I took another route. I hacksawed about 1/4 inch off the front hub. Left a about 1/8 inch before the codder pin. This allowed me to mount the fronts without any wheelspacer. The fronts now sit perfectly flush with the fenders and no issue with center caps. The back is nice and flush with the 5mm spacer. Took about 15 min on each hub and a couple of blades. Very happy with the look. The 18 inches of snow today is another story...

No rubbing issues whatsoever, forward or reverse. I've been up to around 60 so far. Havent made it onto the highway yet.
According to the offset chart, I have more inside clearance with these rims than I did with my stockers and the tire diameter/high didnt change but fractionally. So far, I couldnt be happier.

I just bought them down the street from a friend's garage at this large auto everything aftermarket store. I paid 5.95 per spacer and initially picked up 1/8 and 1/4 inch spacers. I didnt care what they cost at that point as I just wanted the tires mounted. I'll look to see if there was a name on them but I dont recall seeing much on them. The 1/8 were too small but the 1/4 were perfect for the rear. They sat flush with the lip of the dust cap.
As far as the replica's go, they are nice but you get what you pay for. These scratch way more easily than my neighbors real g35 coupe rims. I plan on calling the company to tell them that they need to make it clear that these wheels do no fit our Maxima's without spacers or a manual hackjob. The company did say they would send me spacers for free if the wheels didnt fit. I do like the gun metal finish on the sheer silver although I imagine some will not. To each their own.

Are you talking about the ones on my sig?
Those are the G35 sedan aero package wheels. They might be a bit hard to find though.
Simple plug and play, even centercaps fit without too much work.
No issues with them yet, and I've had a lot of compliments on them so far, only a few days since installed.

odd that the tires are 245/45 all around. On the G35, the rears are 245/45 and the fronts are 225/45. Guy must be selling 4 rears. (btw, all the wheels are the same size/offset in the 18" size).
You want 235/40 for closest to stock diameter, or could get away with 245/45 with minimal rubbing. 245/45 in a no-go though.
