Holy cripes. You want a particular type of G/Z wheel, you are STUCK with a particular offset! You want to use the G coupe 18s? Fine. But the offset is SET at 30mm.

That Is What I Have Now, 18" Off G35. But What Is Use 18x8.5 With Offset Of 35mm And 18x9.5 With Offset Of 20mm, What Do You Think About That?

I think it would be faster to just to put them on and see if they fit! Again, why ask "WHAT OFFSET TO USE" when you don't have a choice and you already have them! BTW I'm not aware of any G35 18" wheels that have offsets of 20mm. You 100% positive?

Ugh, because RWD applications actually justify it.

From reading through this thread, I understood the offset of the 18" G35C rims to be 30mm front and back, yet this person selling his on ebay states that his are 30mm front, 33mm rear:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=290000582443

To those who own these rims - did yours come marked front and rear and were the offsets marked? Were they all 30mm? If so can anyone explain the offset info this seller provided?

TIA...

I just bought some of these. Any idea what the correct P/N is for the center caps? I'm assuming they're silver.

[sarcasm]Thanks for the response to the center cap question, guys[/sarcasm]

Anyway, got my new shoes. And FYI, the center caps from my 18s fit perfectly. So, all that talk about Altima center caps is horse pucky (really?). Now, I just need to wash my car...and drop it.

These are the e-bay replicas I ordered off e-bay. I looked around for a set of real ones but this is what I felt was the best I could do at the time. Dealing with them was no problem at all, shipping was fast and the packaging was GREAT.... quality is good too, they had the same emblem that was on my stock rims. No scratches when mounting other than when the mechanic was tightening the lug nuts.... not much I could do about that, will find some touch up paint for those. Had to "tap" in the rear dust caps to get the rear tires on, but that was no problem. I like the look and the ride very much, going to go back to stock springs, it may look funny but I'm the one driving it all the time.

Comments and questions are welcome. Thanks Irish for this comprehensive thread and the help you gave me with regards to the rims!

Mine are marked front and rear. They are (all 4) marked with 30mm offset, and I rotate them normally. They are genuine G35 wheels....Unless Inifiniti changed the offsets for a different model year, the ebay guy is mistaken

Since I wrote the part about the center caps originally, I obviously could not have included the 6th gen wheel cc's....happy they worked out. Altima center caps, though, DO fit the G wheels also, as do the early 5th gen SE 5-spokes and GLE "hubcap" wheels...

what springs are you changing off? The H-techs? If so, you might want to give the Eibachs a go...I REALLY like them...ride and handling are superior to stock or the H-techs, hands down.

Are you asking about G35 wheels, or just wheels in general?

If you're talking about G35 wheels, the only choice you HAVE is the factory offsets (see first post in this thread...)

Yes the H-Techs, liked the look but not the ride. There a bunch of issues regarding the lowering thing...

1. It's very possible that the strust are semi worn out, didn't really want to get into changing the struts now because of the cost. I was hoping that I could get by with the stock for while.
2. Swapping the springs out is a PIA, with the manual spring compressor. I live in BFE so it's hard to find a pneumatic spring compressor.
3. I want a very little drop but haven't found a set of GOOD springs that don't cost a lot.
4. Since I tow my dirt bikes I don't want to drop the rear, and it's almost impossible to find a set of new springs for the front only.

I may consider a set of used but in my mind it's like buying "only worn once" underwear....

I may reconsider later and have to hit you up for some info on the Eibachs.

Question: Has anyone put Infiniti M35 18" wheels on a 5th gen Maxima? I have a friend who can get me a sweet deal on a set of these wheels.

Would these work or am I setting myself up for a lot of headaches with this?

I finally mounted the 6spoke G sedan Wheels on my 4th gen and I think they look awesome. No problems with the centercaps not fitting so I got a set of 04 maxima centercaps. Pics I will post this after noon.

ah! much appreciated! Can anyone verify for me that G35 wheels (18" coupes in particular) have a 'Nissan' stamp on the inside of the spokes? i'm very very close to buying a set of used wheels.

I want to get a set of 19" Rays wheels. I've heard that the sedans use a non-staggered setup. All four rims have the same width and offset. Which is exactly what I want so I can rotate my tires for longer tread life.

Any idea if this is actually the case? I only see the 19" Rays wheels forsale from the G35 coupes, and they are staggered and different widths.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but the 19" G35 wheels are all coupe wheels, and are therefore all staggered. The wheels that look similar on the G35 Sedan are only 17" or 18". If you want the big boys, you gotta be ready to make rotating a thing of the past.

Ahhh that would make complete sense then. Guess I'm back to the idea of buying two sets of 19's, splitting them up and selling the second matched set to someone else. lol

pretty sure that the G coupes came with those wheels from 2004-present. The current G's have the 18's still available, I'm pretty sure, though most people get them with the Rays 19s. I'm not positive on those points...you might want to go to Edmunds.com and just look at the photos for each year of the G coupe and see if all of those years have the 18's.

As far as I know, 19" Rays = 6MT. I could be wrong, but I remember reading that somewhere...maybe 6MT.net when I was researching the wheels before I bought em.

yes, they will fit fine IIRC.

The ride is dependent on the tires. But generally, ride quality is reduced with an 18" wheel compared with a 17" wheel since the tire has a shorter sidewall, and therefore you'll feel the bumps more.

I was told by someone on a 350z forum that there was a change in the 18"s for the 06 coupe. He says that the rears are no longer 18x8, he says they changed them to 18x8.5".... is this true???

I suppose it's possible, but I haven't heard anything about that. Are you sure he wasn't referring to the Rays 19's on the new coupe? I'm pretty sure they're 8.5" in the rear.
