lowest offset.

Hey guys,

I'm planning to purchase some used 18x9 with a +31mm offset all aroundSSR SP1 professors from this EVO owner. Is the offset to low or will i be okay? Has only gone lower then 31mm? Are their any pros are cons running such a low offset on a FWD?

rims are too wide and offset is too low especially for the fronts

The offset should be fine. I have the G35 coupe wheels that are 18X8 with a 30mm offset. It actually makes the wheels look a million times better in the wheel well. But for width I'm not sure. I would imagine we should be able to use 9 inch wide wheels but I'm no expert.

So my conclusion is offset is fine, unsure about the width.

Yeah, but the thing is that the offset and width go hand in hand if the combo is going to work properly. I think it'll also depend on your drop also. I got 18" G35C's, but I'm lowered about 3.5" on Ksports. I have the stock Michellin 225/45/18's on the fronts, and I rub a little, but that's only on the liners.

soo will they work or will they not?

this is like one in a life time deal right now.

This ish* is so confusing. i know 1fstmax fit 19*9.5 on his max with a 35mm offset. I wouldn't see why these wouldn't work.

big difference between 7.5" w/ 25mm offset and 9" w/ 25mm offset rims.

I doubt he's running that setup up fronts. Biggest I've seen up fronts were 17x9 w/ high offset. You can always try them and if they don't work out for you, sell them

my volks are 18x10's w/ a 43mm offset in the rear and i am almost certain they will fit. Even if they don't i can still sell them for a profit. You should do the same since it will be easy to sell those wheels since they aren't being made anymore

I'm going to say yes they will fit. The 31mm offset will bring the wheel out almost flush with the fender. so there should be plenty of space.

I'm new to this forum so i can't post my own thread, but my question goes hand in hand. I want to know if an 18x8.5 with a 24mm offset will work on the back of my 02 max?? Any help would be muchly appreciated.

more room in the rear than front. I doubt you can mount those up front. Also depends on what kind of drop your car has too.

Brian, i think 9 inch wide with 255 wide tires would work....I know Larrio fit some 9 wide with 265 tires on 35mm offset...he was dropped on Sprints....and you are dropped on S techs which are about the same drop as sprints....if it rubs u can always roll yer fenders...

I have the OEM G35 Coupe rims (18x8 30 offset) with 235/40/18 tires. The front is flush with the fender and the rear has about an inch of space. I think the 9" rims would fit in the rear, but doubt if it would fit up front.

18x9 with that offset will stick out a little (about 1/2") from the front fenderwell.

18x8 with 30mm offset sits flush
