My mom's friend owns a body shop and is ordering me rubber for my G35 18x8's. I initally wanted the Michellin Pilot so I can roll the Infinity stock setup. This of course was too much money. So I ended up ordering the Sumitomo HTR+'s. Does anyone have experience with this setup? I checked the Sumitomo website and they're rated 2nd best in the low profile performance category. Any personal experience on how they feel, handling, and longevity would be much appreciated.

It's fine for the first several thousand miles but it tends to get noisy at mid-life and no matter what i do there's always uneven tire wear on them. I'm not the only one to experience this problem.

I got 28k miles out of mine when I had them, and they were solid until the end. Yeah, I had the same wear problem as everybody else, but I loved'em anyway. Priced well from what I can recall and good grip until the end.
