optional tire size for 96 max GLE

My car's standard tire size is 205/65/15 and it has 15" "honeycomb" style wheels.

Just to give it a better look i was thinking of going a little wider and thinner with new tires. Will there by any negative impact if i put in 225/60/15? Or should I go with 215/60/15? Or should I avoid it and just stay standard size? Will my car's standard wheel be able to handle the wider 225 or 215 size without any complications? I'm planning on going with BF Goodrich Traction TA.

If this has been posted and answered before, then please accept my appologies in advance. I did scroll through few pages and may not have gone back far enough in time to find this info.

Thanks.

I called tirerack and they said that the only drawbacks are that it will decrease gas mileage, increase drag when accelerating and increase chances of hydroplaning. But besides that, it should be safe to put 225/60/15 on. I think if i get a good quality tire I should be ok with that size too. I used the tool in one of the stickies...and it seems like there is a very slight variation in tire size between stock and these.
