Many factors involved. Depends on the offset, tire size, suspension set up etc... If you're running like a +38 with a 245/40 shouldn't have a problem. I've had rubbing issues with a +30 on 245/45's, but once I switched to 235/40's....no probs. Good luck!

What offset and tire size will you be using with this wheel? I was using 245/40/18s with a +39 offset in the front and a +35 offset in the rear with my SSRs, with a lot of room to spare.

NJ DEVIL - are you stock height? If so, then you wont have any problems with the SSRs...and pretty much every other rim you buy

I am slammed and do have slight rubbing issues only when making u turns....but over speed bumps, on the freeway, etc....my tires haven't rubbed

thats good to hear...I know h techs dont really drop the max too much...so you should be good to go with pretty much any rim on the market...it's when your 2inches or more...then you have to start worrying about rubbing issues...

unless your rims/tire combo are significantly off spec of the maxima's....like 17x7 55mm offset with 235/50/17 tires....then u wont have to worry too much

Well, of course I get screwed on ebay by some b*tch who used one of those auto bidder things and lost with 10 seconds remaining. I had them for $1125 with 0 minutes remaining and I see Im the high bidder. I'm thinking sweet, I won, so I close ebay and get something to eat. I go back on like an hour later and I see that the auction is over and I was outbid. WTF!!!!! I look and see that someone random who was not involved over the last few days placed a bid with a few seconds left and beat me.

Months of searching for them in the 18x8.5 and this crap happens. So, I'm still looking. If anyone knows anybody that is selling them, please let me know, thanks....

you can always try tire rack....lol...i know its expensive but seriously...I heard SSR will stop making these rims and they will become very rare and popular....its one of the lightest rims on the market which will definitely attract future buyers...IMO, it's worth spending the extra $1000 for a brand new set....cuz when you end up selling them, you will receive a large portion back anyway

The thing is that I want the 19x8.5, not 7.5s. I feel that it it pointless to get the 7.5s because I want the more traction. the 7.5s are practically stock. Do you know if 9.5s will fit in the rear? There is another set that the seller has 2 18.8.5 and 2 18x9.5. I'm getting desperate here.

I've ran 18x8.5 SSRs 37mm offset w/ 245/40/18s and I had no rubbing issues.

I heard 9.5 will fit nicely in the rear...heard of people running 275 wide with like 44mm offset in the rear nicely...

what are the dimensions of the SSRs that are 9.5 wide? 8.5 wide as well...

Oops, I meant 18x8.5. Actually. I emailed the seller of the comps I bid for that I got screwed out of and he showed some sympathy and said that if he did not hear back from the guy within a day or two, he would offer them to me, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

This was taking off of the website:
"The wheels are 18"x8.5" Offset 42 (Front) & 18"x9.5" Offset 50, with 5x114.3 bolt pattern"

hey i saw the ebay auction for the 9.5 wide SSR comps....man those look nice!! seriously too...its only $2000 buy it now also...man thats a bomb price for BRAND NEW SSRs...

but that +50 offset might be too high...it might hit the trailing arm depending on which tire size u go with

Those come with bridgestone summer tires that are a bit wide. I need all season, I'm not going to be switching my wheels in the winter and summer. I emailed him about possibly getting a complete set of 18x8.5s without tires because he is a dealer. I'm determined to get these damn things one way or another.

u should go with 18x8.5 all around...it fits the 5th gen nicely....245/40/18 is the tire of choice....255/40/18 is cool if you need a bit more protection for your rim...although you might rub at that size...
