Wheel sizes and rubbing

Bigger wheels without a doubt look better. However, I have a couple of questions about this. Has anyone who has put on a 20" wheel experienced an considerable rubbing?

The dealership I used to work at had a used 04 with 20s and when we drove it, there was crazy rubbing.

Also, is there a preference as to when you should buy a lowering kit for your Max? Can I lower it first then add 20s later on? Or does the amount you lower it affect the size of wheel you put on it?

I have 20's with coilovers with NO rubbing. I am dropped almost 3" all around...
What size tires were they running on that Max and was it lowered? I would assume whoever set it up had the offsets wrong or the tires were too wide.

I personally would do it all at the same time if feasible for you. But you can go either way, there's guys on here lowered with stock wheels and then guys with 20's at stock height. With the kits currently available you can go as big as 22" and can still lower later without worrying

I am not sure how much it was lowered or what the offsets were. What is the best recommended offset/tire width if you put on 20s with, say, Cattman springs?

Not sure what Maxima you're driving but when mine was stock it was nothing but a luxury ride!!!
And on 20's it's not too bad in my personal opinion...

I think the rim size is too big. It should be 8.5" on the width.
